Shamimur Rahman Bashar

 

Born in the United Kingdom in 1968, Shamimur began his early education in Bangladesh and then went to university in the United Kingdom. After completing his education in the late 80s, Shamimur worked for Toynbee Translation Project in Tower Hamlets.

While working, he also studied Insurance Law and was awarded by Lloyds of London for his many achievements.

While working in the City, Shamimur had bought a new house and decided to carry out some renovation works and replace the windows and doors at the property. It was while these works were being carried out, that he developed an interest in the double-glazing industry. Not one to sit on his laurels, he contacted double glazing firm and as chance would have it, had a chance to acquire the double-glazing firm itself. By the time the installations were complete, Shamimur had bought the company, and became one of the first Bangladeshi Managing Directors of a double-glazing company in the whole of the UK.

After taking over, Shamimur focused his efforts on expanding his knowledge in manufacturing and marketing and subsequently utilised these skills to move forward and grow and expand his business. He now has a bespoke showroom offering not just double glazing, but a full portfolio of services including designing and developing properties for clients. 

​

Shamimur believes strongly in giving back to his community and has for many years been supporting an orphanage called S.B Orphanage Trust in Bangladesh.
