Mr. Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman

Mr. Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman Chairman of Al Haramain Group is a seasoned businessman and well versed in a broad range of trade ventures around the world hails from Sylhet. Born in 1958, he completed his education there itself and pursued with passion his traditional family owned business, which was established in the holy city of Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the year 1970. He mastered the art of craftsmanship of the Fragrance Industry and surmounts the business to new heights. Currently the Chairman & Managing Director of Al Haramain Perfumes Group of Companies he has extended his perfume business internationally in countries as diverse as France, Singapore, Malaysia, the US and the United Kingdom. Al Haramain Perfumes, one of the largest fragrance manufacturers in the Middle East region,

 

M. Mahtabur Rahman, along with other members of the family,  M. Oliur Rahman, Vice-Chairman of Al Haramain Group and M. Emadur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Al Haramain Group, Mahtabur Rahman and Oliur Rahman are brothers while Emadur Rahman is the son of Mahtabur Rahman – aged just 31, he is the third generation in the family business and looks after the day to day business affairs of the group.

Whilst all of them are working closely in the group’s holding company they all run separate group companies as business leaders. Mr. Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman, his brother and son have been awarded the rare honour of a UAE Gold Visa. Mr Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman is the first Bengali and ranked fourth on a list of only 6,400 people to receive a UAE Gold Visa. Each of them have been awarded Gold Visa separately for their own investment and business leadership. The recognition comes as the family owned business Al Haramain Group celebrates 38 years of its presence in the UAE.

This remarkable family have each in their own separate ventures emerged as business leaders whilst at the same time each of them are shareholders in three separate banks in Bangladesh.

M. Mahtabur Rahman, wears many hats in addition to being Chairman and Managing Director of Al Haramain Group. He is also Chairman of NRB Bank Ltd (Bangladesh) and President of Bangladesh Business Council in Dubai, UAE, whilst Mr M. Oliur Rahman, and Mr M. Emadur Rahman are each involved in a broad range of business and trade ventures around the world diversifying their business interests in perfumery, banking, healthcare, education tea, and hospitality, such as  Al Haramain Tea Co Ltd and Al Haramain Hospital Pvt Ltd.
